Ted Tucker, born 1926 in Rochester, NY was the son of an architect. He spent his childhood whittling, sketching and helping his father build stone walls. He was an Eagle Scout at age 16 and went on to serve in the Army as a commissioned officer. While completing his Masters degree in engineering at M.I.T he began building his homestead in Lincoln, MA. There he constructed a forge for blacksmithing and a round barn for  woodworking. His watercolor studio in the main house has a heated stone floor and looks over the property and down to a small pond. This is the setting which inspires Ted to create wood, water and iron masterpieces. A visit to Lincoln to see this enchanted place will highten one's senses and bring out the natural creativity in any of us.
